Telenor MMS Settings for Android Users

After Mobilink and Zong MMS settings, it’s time for Telenor users to finally get MMS working on their Android phones. I thank Abdullah Saad for sending me the Telenor MMS settings =)

If you have problems getting GPRS/EDGE working on Telenor, you can check the Telenor GPERS/EDGE settings for Android post.

Follow the steps below to get your Mobilink MMS working on your Android phone!

  1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks >Access Point Names.
  2. Press the ‘Menu’ key and select “New APN”.
  3. Now use the following settings:
    Name: MMS (anything you like)
    APN: mms
    Username: Telenor
    Password: Telenor
MMSC: http://mmstelenor or http://mmstelenor (Try both)
    MMS Proxy: 172.018.019.011
    MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0 (Only if it asks you)
MCC: 410 (should be there by default)
MNC: 01 (use whatever is there by default)
    APN type: mms
  4. You can leave all the other fields blank as they are and save these settings.

NOTE: These settings may not work on all Android handsets. Like it didn’t work on my HTC Hero. Please let me know on what Android phones these work. Thanks!

  • When I tried to get my gprs and mms working on my android, telenor CSO told me that I could only choose to run one, mms or gprs at a time. This is because mms would require a different APN to be set up as would GPRS due to technology limitations in Pakistan. Since one can only select 1 APN at a time, either GPRS or MMS would work, depending upon which APN you have most recently set up. Isn’t this shitty?

  • Well, yes, it is. But that’s not true. In the end of the APN settings page,
you will see “APN type”, if it’s GPRS, leave that blank. But if the settings
are for MMS, enter “mms” in that field. That worked for me on Mobilink and
should be done with all the networks.

  • thanks work fine on HTC explorer but just one setting works GPRS or MMS. not both
