Ufone GPRS/EDGE Settings for Android Phones

So, we have the GPRS/EDGE settings for Mobilink, Telenor and Zong. Only two left, Ufone and Warid. Let’s go with Ufone first.

Ufone GPRS/EDGE settings were sent to me, thanks to my friend, Faizan Ul Ahmad Khan!

Follow the steps below to get GPRS/EDGE working on your Android phone!

  1. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks >Access Point Names.
  2. Press the ‘Menu’ key and select “New APN”.
  3. Now use the following settings:
    Name: Ufone Internet (anything you like)
    APN: ufone.internet
    MCC: 410 (should be there by default)
    MNC: 01 (use whatever is there by default)
  4. You can leave all the other fields blank as they are and save these settings.

  • These settings are not working for me. I have an Xperia X10 updated to android 2.1.

    I also tried the apn ufone.pinternet, posted by Mr. Zohair Chohan, but it also din’t work

    apn=ufone.pmms
    mmsc=www.ufonemms.com:80/alias=PP
    mmsc proxy=172.16.13.27
    port=8080
    and apn ype =mms

    reset phone now install apn on-off from market and disable apn’s also check keep mms on..now enjoy:)

  • regarding your MMS settings, it differs depending on whether you have a post- or pre pay contract with Ufone. Please use the appropriate settings.

    Ufone MMS Postpay
    1. On the device, press the Menu key.
    2. Select Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile network settings > Access Point Names.
    3. Press the Menu key and select New APN. (In case there already is an APN in the list called Ufone MMS, tap it to edit settings)
    4. Select Name, enter Ufone MMS post and press OK.
    5. Select APN, enter ufone.mms and press OK.
    6. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
    * User name:
    * Password:
    7. Select MMSC, enter http://www.ufonemms.com:80 and press OK.
    8. Select MMS Proxy, enter 172.16.13.27 and press OK.
    9. Select MMS Port, enter 8080 and press OK.
    10. Select APN type, select mms and press OK.
    11. Press the Menu key and select Save
    12. Restart phone and try again.

    Ufone prepaid MMS TCP/IP

    1. On the device, press the Menu key.
    2. Select Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile network settings > Access Point Names.
    3. Press the Menu key and select New APN. (In case there already is an APN in the list called Ufone MMS, tap it to edit settings)
    4. Select Name, enter Ufone MMS Pre and press OK.
    5. Select APN, enter ufone.pmms and press OK.
    6. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
    * User name:
    * Password:
    7. Select MMSC, enter http://www.ufonemms.com:80 and press OK.
    8. Select MMS Proxy, enter 172.16.13.27 and press OK.
    9. Select MMS Port, enter 8080 and press OK.
    10. Select APN type, select mms and press OK.
    11. Press the Menu key and select Save
    12. Restart phone and try again.

  • How can gprs and mms b used simultaneously? Do I have to make 2 different APNs?

  • hello guys im new to android and i am a ufone user(prepay). I have all the mms and gprs settings required for ufone android phone, my gprs is working but mms is not. I changed the sim and used my brothers telenor and the mms started working too. Ufone people are of no help here SO PLEASE HELP GUYS!!

  • i have got HTC desire HD …. i did the same setting and even received call from ufone … still my GPRs is not working ……………. need help regarding

  • Could not found it helpful, i have received and configurd all setting but still could nosend andreceive mms. When i receive mms it only shows downloading

  • Ufone MMS settings for HTC Desire:
    Enter the following Settings

    APN type = Leave it Blank

    Name: Ufone MMS (or any name u like)

    APN: ufone.mms (for Ufone prepaid customers MMS APN:
    ufone.pmms)

    MMS Proxy: 172.16.13.27

    MMS Port: 8080

    MMSC: http://ufonemms.com:80/

    leave all other fields blank and save the settings

  • salam guys, could any of us help to set up settings for note2, i also tried u fone customer support help and theys end me few files to install and then i rebooted the phone, but the edge still not working.
