Looks like a good day. HTC has rolled out the Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) updates for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE.
The updates are to be available Over-The-Air (OTA) on both the devices and you can download them directly on your devices.
HTC Sensation and HTC sensation XE will get a notification as soon as the update will be available for download and install.

I think only noobs wait fir official update….when you have root there are no limitations…but its good that its coming sooner this time…but they should ve first updated the desire series first..

The desire has been updated to whatever version of android it’s capable of, and i think htc is doing a great job by updating the sensation at this time. At least someone’s sticking to their schedule.

I’ve received the ICS 4.0 with HTC Sense 3.6 FOTA. two days ago….ever since i’ve been downloading it again and again and it ends up with the same error Status 7…. as soon as installer tries to replace Maps.apk,,, it fails … htc suggested to formate the sd card and factory reset data… which i did … but still no change… here is the installation log i received::

when its available in Pakistan i didn’t receive any notification?????
I’ve Indonesian HTC Sensation…. Today I had to download the Stock ROM…….installed it and all the updates straight to ICS update…Successfully 🙂

Yes, you will receive the update and can also install without any problem. Only thing you need is Stock Recovery, not CWM recovery.

I downloaded the ICS update on my sensation XE but whenever I try to install, there is a White Triangle with Yellow Exclamation point above a Blue Android and the only solution is to take the battery out. can anybody help me?
